Visitor Improvements in Wendover Woods

Family walking on the Firecrest trail. Wendover wood.Welcome to our webpages that show how we plan to improve the visitor facilities at Wendover Woods.
Also visit our welcome page with information on activites, events, and other useful information.

Our existing toilet block, forest drive and car park were built over thirty-six years ago to satisfy a growing demand for outdoor recreation and education in a woodland environment. Now, these facilities need improvements to continue to provide for the 380,000 visitors and school children who come to Wendover Woods each year.

The last few years we have supplemented our existing toilet block with a temporary toilet building, to enable our visitors to continue to enjoy the woodland. However, we really need better permanent facilities if we are to carry on providing opportunities for friends, families and community groups to make the most of Wendover Woods as a place to meet, play, learn and take exercise.
