4 Stars 4 Stars

Lovely wood with some really nice walks. Sadly let down a little by some fellow dog walkers not clearing up after their dogs (there is absolutely no excuse for this whatsoever, I clear up after all mine easily enough, a bin is provided and there are plenty of products available on the market to carry used poop bags such as Dicky bags and Bogg bags) and a minority of dog walkers allowing their off leash dogs to run up to on leash dogs (a leashed dog is leashed for a reason and nobody should EVER allow an unleashed dog to run up uninvited). We are very fortunate to have access to this beautiful area to walk our dogs in free of charge, free toilets and free parking, fellow dog walkers please try to be considerate and responsible with your pets so we are all able to enjoy this privilege for years to come.

Are we allowed to hack on horses around the paths ?

Sophie, 8/Sep/2017

Hi Sophie you can ride at Chambers Farm Wood but you will require a Sherwood and East Midlands Horse Riding Discovery Pass which can be purchased online here Access at Chambers on horseback is restricted to the stone roads throughout the wood.

When is the best time and where is the best place to see orchids in Chambers farm wood?

Sylvia, 27/Jun/2017

Hi Sylvia, I have spoken to the forester for the area and he said try Willingham Woods. It stands out for him as a better location.
