(Average user rating: 3 unrated 3/5)

Clowes Wood is a delightful mixed woodland near Whitstable, with mature birch and coniferous trees.

Its many paths and convenient car park makes Clowes Wood an ideal location for walkers - especially with dogs.

The wood covers a total area of over 236 hectares.

For an in-depth look, take a look at the Clowes Wood Forest Plan.

Harvesting News 2017

Please be aware that we will be returning to Clowes to carry out harvesting w/c 3rd April 2017.

The work being carried out is thinning of the conifer crops and will take approximately 8-12 weeks. We will update with anticipated completion dates as the work progresses.

We aim to cause as little disruption as possible. We ask that for your own safety and to ensure the smooth running of the operation, that you follow any onsite signage or instruction for contractors and staff.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Not enough dog poo bins. You need walk leaflets available in the car park to help make sense of all the paths.

Lovely place, though could be made better.

1. There is no sign post of the history

2. No signed route (we have found)

3. We have seen no poo bins and unfortunately many people have left the dog mess on paths.

Other than that its a great place to walk the dogs.
