Trail description

We can now confirm that the whole site, including all waymarked trails and car park, will be closed from early October 2017 for approximately three months.

Our operations will take place Monday to Friday but the site will remain closed on weekends – the trails will be unsafe and not suitable for use.

For your own safety, public access is not allowed until work is finished and we re-open the site. We will keep you up to date with progress.

Stainburn Moor car park is still available to use.

For safety reasons cyclists using the unofficial cleared lines in Norwood Edge please access the forest from Stainburn Moor car park.

A short but challenging route. Narrow single track, rocky trails with varied surfaces passing through remote forest. Some very steep climbs, descents and technical obstacles and north shore sections needing a high level of technical ability.

Experienced, excellent bike handling skills and a high level of fitness required. Part of the route is man made by volunteers from Singletraction, the rest has been built with funding from the North Yorkshire Aggregate Grant Scheme.

Maintenance of the trail is done by SingletrAction volunteer group inconjunction with the Forestry Commission

Trail Waymarking: Black arrows on square discs.
