Having 3 VERY energetic boys, Alice Holt is a life saver! We are here numerous times a week as they love exploring and making dens. We can be lost in the woods for hours. The cafe is lovely also with friendly staff.

My husband & I took our little boy there for his 2nd birthday so he could ride his new balance bike. He loved the activity trail, with lots of things to climb on/up along the way and the play area at the entrance. Its a fantasic place to go and we had a great time. I've given it 4 stars because of the lack of bins around the trail and a number of people think its acceptable to leave their rubbish behind, which included dirty nappies! It would be a great improvement if you had bins at each picnic area to give lazy people a helping hand.

Thank you for making Alice Holt so accessible. I have a learning disabled and autistic child who relies on his buggy to get around. He loved being in the forest and hiding in the wheelchair accessible shelter. The cafe was fantastic with lots of seating outside tables and space for his buggy. Thank you so much, we will visit again xxx

What a wonderful day out! We did the Gruffalo trail and used the app. The three children, under 7, thought it was amazing! We then proceeded to the play area and then the trail with other stops with climbing apparatus for children. We also collected a booklet at the visitors centre before we headed round the trails. We all had great fun looking for the leaves of certain trees. Brilliantly educational without them even knowing;-)

My only criticism would be the cafe, however I see a new one is being built so that's fab.

It is clear to see where the car parking (8 all day) goes so I certainly don't feel any need to grumble about that.

Really recommend !

We did the Forest Survival Day with Nigel (the guide). Very informative, good fun. My 9 year old boy loved the slow worms, building fires and a den and generally learning about he forest. Nigel was very engaging with the children and good fun.

Wow...what a great place to come and adventure. The woods were huge, we met some monsters (they weren't that scary, we posted photos on your facebook page). Even in the rain we had a great time. This place is very dog friendly. Our humans said the staff were very friendly, informative and helpful. At the very start they gave the humans a map and suggested suitable walks we would all enjoy, explained about the on-lead/off lead rules and crossed off parts of the map which would be too boggy to enjoy walking through. They had dog drinks available in nice clean bowls too while the humans chatted. The walking was fab, we met a stick man and two gruffalo monsters. Saw some other dogs and people enjoying the great outdoors. The rain didn't bother us and the staff took us to a handy hose pipe after we managed to find some mud to play in ready for our car journey home. We will be coming back. Fab day out, thanks to all who work there. Woof woof!!!

Is it possible to do the trail with a pushchair? I have a 1, 3 & 5 year old.

Mary, 3/Apr/2016

Thank you for your enquiry. The trail is on the Easy Access Discovery Trail which is pushchair and wheelchair friendly.
