What a great place. My daughter took me today with her two children and between us three little dogs. The planning and layout is amazing, children walked for a long time without knowing it as all the dogs came back shattered followed by two young children and then me the old girl. So nice to visit somewhere when all members of family have a good time and able to let dogs have a good time too. The cafe was very good too with friendly efficient staff and the food was priced just right for the quality it all was especially the hot coffee on such a grey day. Will return soon to do the GoApe!

First visit to Alice Holt today and had an excellent day. If you are looking for a great day outside with the kids that has plenty to keep them active and entertained then this place has it. Great facilities and a family day out that only cost 8 was a bargain. They have a cafe or plenty of places for a picnic.

Such a lovely place, very well maintained and lots of things to do. Our children ( 5 and 3) enjoyed the forest and the trails, we haven't managed to see it all in one day, it is that big! Fresh air and fun. Perfect for families, dog owners, adventurers (go ape) and cyclist enthusiasts. Will definitely come back and recommend to everyone.

Would be helpful if the car park charges page stated the charge as well as explaining the ticketless system. We are off somewhere else now instead!

I am sorry you could not find the correct information prior to your visit on our website. The car parking charges can be found on the left hand side of the Alice Holt home page. But we will look at adding this information to the page in question.

Our boys (5, 4 & 3) love this place. We have seen tadpoles aplenty, sailed to sea and walked the plank in the play park, hunted Gruffalos, poked sticks into a creek, been woodpeckers and log pile creatures and forest explorers deep into the trees and enjoyed an evening 'listening walk' and we still feel as if there is more for us to see and do. Brilliant place, beautifully managed.

We are looking to hire one of your bbq pitches for a work team building type of event, I have read your online onformation page but could you tell me when the plots are available at the weekends and if there are any evening slots. Also the cost of hiring the bbq.

Thankyou very much

Charlotte Keddle

I totally disagree with the forestry's comments to move dog mess with a stick into the undergrowth as that is also where small children are likely to run into! All dog mess should be removed and bins provided for this purpose. There is nothing more off putting than someone within your party getting dog mess on their footwear. Responsible behaviour should be encouraged at all times and in all areas!

We prefer owners to use a bag and place their dog mess in the bins provided on site. We do understand however that sometimes even the most responsible dog owner might have an occasion when this is not possible. In these situations we would prefer the stick and flick method to be used to remove mess rather than it being left on paths and in well used areas.
