Are you ready for a Snark hunt?

Join us for an interactive theatre event with a difference, as you walk through the forest, you can attempt to find the ever elusive Snark!

This outdoor theatre performance, based on Lewis Carroll’s original poem, The Hunting of the Snark, will take you on an unforgettable journey through the woods, where you will interact with the poem’s characters and become part of the quest to find this mythical creature.

Come prepared to walk 2-3 miles and wear suitable footwear/clothing for the weather conditions and all terrains. Event is suitable for ages 6+. More information and tickets coming soon.

Alongside Burn The Curtain’s promenade theatre show, you can download the Snarkhunter app to follow Lewis Carroll’s original story and play some exciting games.

The Snarkhunter app is based on Lewis Carroll's nonsense poem The Hunting of the Snark. In the company of a cast of characters the app will take you on a journey, with games to play and trails to follow, you may even find the elusive forest Snark!

The app is currently available as a free download, for use at three selected Forestry Commission England forests: Haldon, Hamsterley and Sutton Manor Community Woodland. The app will then be available for use at four more sites this autumn:  Bedgebury, Dalby, Delamere and Thetford.

This unique promenade event is being brought to you by Burn The Curtain, and will be available at three Forestry Commission sites this spring and at further four sites come autumn.

Come prepared with appropriate clothing and good footwear, and remember that some of the action will take place in the dark, so bring a torch or head torch.

'The Hunting of the Snark' and ‘Snarkhunter’ have been developed by Burn the Curtain in partnership with Forestry Commission England through the Forest Art Works programme, with support from Arts Council England.
