Westonbirt enchanted christmas

The popular annual Enchanted Christmas attraction returns to the National Arboretum this December transforming the spectacular Forestry Commission setting into a winter wonderland of light festive cheer.

Regarded by many as the jewel in the crown of the Forestry Commission’s festive programme of events, Enchanted Christmas will see the trees and paths of the arboretum magically transformed into journeys of festive wonder; guiding families through the beautiful tree collection with the opportunity to meet Father Christmas and his merry band of elves.

Popular with families across the region and beyond, this year’s is sure to prove popular. Families are advised to book their time-allocated tickets in advance in order to ensure that they can explore the whole route and still have time to meet Father Christmas. We recommend that families who purchase tickets for later evening trails make plans to visit Father Christmas before embarking on the trail to make sure that they have time to enjoy the full experience.
With exciting interactive features all along the trail, Enchanted Christmas takes place on long weekends from the 1 December until 18 December, and is pushchair and wheelchair friendly.
Tickets are available for the following days:-
Friday December 1st – Sunday December 3rd
Thursday December 7th – Sunday December 10th
Thursday December 14th – Monday December 18th

The walk will include annual favourites such as the Singing Tree, the Giant Smoke Ring Canon and the Leaf Keyboard with the addition of new surprises for 2017 to keep regular visitors thrilled in wonderment.

Paul Cody, Head of Visitor Attraction, Forestry Commission says,
“Enchanted Christmas proves to be one of the biggest festive events in the South West every year attracting people from all over The Cotswolds and as far as South Wales, Somerset and London. The already beautiful National Arboretum is transformed is a thing of wonder that thrills both adults and children every year. It’s a festive spectacle like no other.

“Because Enchanted Christmas proves more popular with each passing year we strongly recommend that all tickets are pre-booked via phone or online, with timed entry for the trail itself.  That way everyone that comes to see us also gets to meet Father Christmas during the course of their visit.”

In addition to the Enchanted Christmas walk there will be festive food, drink and Christmas shopping for all the family.
