Olly Murs announces additional Forest Live concert date

Olly Murs

Due to phenomenal demand for tickets, Olly Murs has added an extra date as part of Forest Live, the summer concert series organised by the Forestry Commission, playing Sherwood Pines Forest in June.

Last year saw Olly Murs celebrate his fourth consecutive No. 1 album ‘24 HRS’, making him the most successful solo artist ever to come from the X Factor. Since he shot to fame in 2009, Olly has recorded four multi-platinum albums and produced four No 1 singles with total record sales exceeding ten million. ’24 HRS’ is the follow up to the acclaimed million selling ‘Never Been Better’.

Olly welcomes Louisa Johnson as his special guest. She became The X Factor’s youngest-ever winner, features on Clean Bandit’s massive hit ‘Tears’ and releases her debut album this year.

Forest Live is an independent programme promoted by Forestry Commission England to bring forests to new audiences. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving and expanding forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife. Over Forest Live’s 16 years history, money raised has contributed to a wide range of projects, from wildlife conservation to making improvements for visitors. With everything required for a great night out, including full catering and bar facilities, the gigs are renowned for their relaxed atmosphere.

Before his summer tour, this Spring will see Olly play 23 UK shows including 3 O2’s and the opening night of the Teenage Cancer Trust shows, confirming his reputation as one of Britain’s very best live performers.
