Top tips for learning outdoors

We want to make it as easy as possible for teachers to provide lessons in woods and forests, so we've pulled together ten tips to help you take learning into the great outdoors.

Why take learning outside?

Research (by CLOtC) suggests that good quality learning outside the classroom adds significant value to young people’s learning. This is why we want as many children and teachers as possible to have the opportunity to visit one of our 1500 woods and forests.

We provide a range of downloadable activities and our learning teams are available to offer health and safety advice for self-led school visits. Contact us for more information.
