Antonia joined the Forestry Commission in 2009 as Development Officer for the Forest Education Initiative in NE Scotland. Since graduating from the University of Aberdeen in 1994, Antonia has worked in a variety of forest management roles in Northern Ireland, Austria and southern Africa. She furthered her education by attaining a MSc in Mountain Forestry at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, BOKU, Vienna, Austria in 2007, specialising in remote sensing and GIS. From 2013 to 2016, Antonia worked as project manager and researcher for the Earth Observations Systems group at the International Institute of Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Laxenburg, Austria before returning in 2016 and taking on the new role of M&G Team Leader (Scotland).

Mapping and Geodata Team Leader (Scotland)

  • To manage the staff and Estates work within the Mapping and Geodata (M&G) offices in Silvan Houses, Dumfries and Inverness, providing a range of geographic data and services

Current programmes

Land Registration of the National Forest Estate

  • Provide management and support for M&G Registration Team in Silvan House.

Forest Estates Casework and Forest Renewables Support

  • Manage and support 3 M&G staff in Dumfries and Inverness providing mapping services to FES.
