Suzanne joined Forest Research in 2001, after completing an MA and PhD in Geography at the University of Aberdeen.

Between 2002 and 2008 she conducted social science research projects. In 2008 she joined Forestry Commission Scotland as a Development Officer where she worked to integrate forests and woodlands into projects and partnerships in the central belt of Scotland.

In 2009 Suzanne returned to Forest Research to work as a Research Liaison Officer and to pursue a career in science communication.  From 2011-14 she undertook a secondment with ClimateXChange (Scotland’s centre of expertise on climate change).  In this role she facilitated knowledge exchange activities between scientists in Scottish research institutes and policy teams in Scottish Government.
