Suzanne’s career spans research, practice and science communication. She has over seven years of experience in knowledge exchange activities and the communication of science to policy-makers, practitioners and publics.

Having trained as a Geographer at the University of Aberdeen, in 2001 Suzanne joined Forest Research to pursue social science research. Later she joined Forestry Commission Scotland as a Development Officer where she worked to integrate forests and woodlands into wide ranging projects and partnerships in the central belt of Scotland.

In 2009 Suzanne returned to Forest Research to work as a Research Liaison Officer. From 2011-14 she undertook a secondment with ClimateXChange. In this role she facilitated knowledge exchange activities between scientists in Scottish research institutes and policy teams in Scottish Government.
