Ruff guide to Great Wood
(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

Find out about me, my owner and my favourite place for a walk in Great Wood, as well as great dog friendly places to eat and sleep near by.

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. My owner and me

I am a lively six-year-old Flat Coated Retriever, who looks after Andy, a recreation and community ranger. Good thing then that I have an aerial on top of my head (a quiff of hair, actually), so I can properly tune into Andy’s location. I personally think it looks very fetching and it doesn’t need any gel or anything to stay in that shape.

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. Favourite treat

Bone or a Marmite sandwich – I am a proper dog with proper tastes.

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. Best trick

Making the family laugh, although I am not quite sure what they are so amused about. Either way, I find my tail is always wagging.

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. Arch rival

Being on my own. Is it too much to ask to have someone by my side, at all times, petting me continuously while they’re at it? I think not. I just love company.

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. Favourite places for a walk

Anywhere there’s a stream or pond. I am often to be found on the trails in Great Wood (Quantock Hills) and Neroche (Blackdown Hills).

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. Water stops

Water is always available in the ponds or streams!
