Ruff guide to High Lodge
(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

Find out about me, my owner and my favourite place for a walk in High Lodge, as well as great dog friendly places to eat and sleep near by.

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. My owner and me

My nickname is ‘Beagle Boy’, or ‘Big Dog’, and you can see why really. I’m only three years old but I already know exactly what I want, and what I don’t want. It’s taken me a while but I’ve got my owner, Roger the communications manager at High Lodge, fully trained on all things I prefer.

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. Favourite treat

I love all foods, but a big juicy bone is my favourite!

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. Best trick

I 'talk' constantly. Beagles are apparently known for 'talking', and I have a lot to say.

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. Arch rival

I really don't like vacuum cleaners, steam floor cleaners or hair dryers. I also dislike people who 'click' their fingers at me, especially when it’s done from behind me.

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. Favourite places for a walk

I like to walk anywhere and the longer the walk the better. My favourite walk with Roger at High Lodge is on the Beech Trail that takes me to Rishbish Wood and past the Thetford Warren Lodge.

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. Water stops

Any puddle will do as a water stop, but the High Lodge Café has a doggy stop in the courtyard, with a tap and a drinking trough.

I'm told that dogs need to be kept on a lead around the main visitor area. Visit High Lodge for more information about what's available on site.
