Ruff guide to Bellever Forest
(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

Find out about me, my owner and my favourite place for a walk in the Bellever Forest, as well as great dog friendly places to eat and sleep near by.

Bramble the dog from Bellever Forest

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. My owner and me

I’m a lovely Black Labrador with plenty of energy, even though I'm already will into canine middle age (I’m nine years old, you see). I tend to be very laid back, but my owner Tim a community ranger, says that I’ve got the best nose in the business and can sniff out food from a mile away.

Any food based object and some that are not! I’m not picky at all.

Making a bug home at an Eco-Kids event. Best trick

Chasing after my lead – I’m really fast and it’s the best way to let my human know I need to go for a walk really.

The hoover definitely, they make lots of noise, but also chainsaws, chippers and I am not keen on the whacker plate either.

Left to my own devices I would happily spend all day exploring the picnic areas making friends, but I especially love the wider Bellever Forest where I can go for a swim in the river, and run about in the woods.

Water is always available at Bellever due to the beautiful river dart running through the site. There are no café facilities on site so bring your own lunch and sit by the river enjoying the sounds of Dartmoor.

As the picnic area at Bellever gets very busy in summer, Tim tends to keep me on the lead in this area, because not everyone loves us dogs as much as our owners do. Visit the Bellever Forest for more information about what's available here.
