Running your own events and activities

We encourage people to use our sites for organised events and activities.

Current activities taking place across Forestry Commission land include fun runs, beaver/cub/scout activities, dog training sessions, sponsored walks, cycle days out, guided walks and much more!

Permission is required for most organised events, allowing us to ensure your event or activity is suitable and safe in the forest environment. Please note that in most circumstances we require a minimum of 8 weeks notice to administer a permission.

Our Broadfields site has been awarded a CLOtC Site Provider Award. The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (CLOtC) is the national voice for learning outside the classroom. This award recognises organisations which actively welcome schools onto their site/s for self-led visits and ensure that the sites and any other services provided meet the needs of schools.

We also have a number of free online learning resources and activity packs available for download

Please contact the Community Ranger for more details on organising events in Forestry Commission woodlands.

For room bookings at the Forest centre please contact the Thames Chase Trust
