Walking trails

The Biblins suspension bridge over the river Wye. Forest of Dean

A number of waymarked trails start from Symonds Yat Rock.

A Forest Walks map is available to purchase from the Log Cabin cafe, Forest Holidays campsite or Forestry Commission office in Coleford.

The main trail from the car park to the Symonds Yat Rock viewpoint itself is well surfaced with a number of resting points along the way.

Access to the River Wye and facilities at Symonds Yat East can be gained by using the steep flight of steps and unsurfaced path from near Symonds Yat Log Cabin.

On Saturday 1st October there is a running race starting and finishing at Symonds Yat Rock.  Please be aware that parking spaces will be limited during the day and expect to see runners on the trails.
