Warren lodge dating back to 1400. It was built by the Prior of Thetford. Rishbeth wood.

Close to Thetford Warren Lodge, you can walk the waymarked trail to High Lodge among beech.

Thetford Warren Lodge was probably built c.1400 by the Prior of Thetford; this defensible lodge protected gamekeepers and hunting parties against armed poachers. Much later it was used by the local ‘warreners’ who harvested rabbits here.

What do other visitors say?

Do Breckland District Council look after the entry track to the car park at Warren Lodge? The track is full of large deep holes that could do with being filled in as they can easily ruin a car's suspension. Especially at the point where the track meets the Brandon road. Thank you in advance
