Whether you're looking for play and adventure or a bit of peace and quiet to observe the wildlife, we've got a trail for you.

Haldon Forest Park





Butterfly Trail
  • Moderate
The Butterfly Trail is a circular walk which, in places gives you stunning views across the forest and over the Teign valley.
Discovery Trail
  • Easy
A great all-ability trail, with fun features for children with regular resting points, that takes in some stunning views over Exeter and Dartmoor. This trail is suitable for walkers and beginner cyclists.
Mamhead Trail
  • Easy
A relaxing all-ability trail with regular resting points, it offers breathtaking views over the Exe estuary and along the Jurassic Coast.
Raptor Trail
  • Moderate
Although fully surfaced this trail is more demanding, be prepared for a few steep ascents and descents. Experience some of the wildlife living in the forest with a visit to the bird of prey viewpoint but don't forget your binoculars!
Tree Trail
  • Hard
A discretely waymarked and more demanding trail showing off some of our magnificent trees and habitats.
