Learning at Hicks Lodge

Hicks lodge offers a fantastic learning opportunity for people of all ages and abilities, combining hands-on education with ideas for active minds.

Activity Trails

With an activity pack available to buy from the cafe (£3.50) our activity trail consists of 10 different pannels for you and your children to take part in having lots of fun as your learn about lots of cool things.

Our new play area is prefect to keep your young ones entertained. Located close to the visitor centre with play structure such as climbing frames, scramble nets, swings, balance course & slides.

Little Acorns Forest Schools

The outdoors is a fantastic environment for children of all ages and abilities to learn.  Little Acorns Forest Schools aims to provide safe, challenging and fun Forest Schools Programmes (FSP) and individual sessions aimed at all ages.  Pre school stay and play groups, early years and Key Stage 1-4 are all possible.  Children with additional learning needs are always welcome as the ethos of Little Acorns Forest Schools promotes outdoors for everyone. For more information follow the link below:
