Temporary Car Park Closure

 The following car parks will be closed for essential Forestry Civil Engineering Volvo G726B Grader. Operator Nigel Slocombe grading a back slope in the New Forest maintenance to the car park surface or works to the car park environs.

  The following car parks will be closed for routine maintenance, the length of closure will depend on the current weather conditions some car parks will remain closed after work has been carried out to allow the surface to consolidate.


The following car parks are scheduled for maintenance works:

  • Wilverley Inclosure – closed until 27th, Plain side will remain open.
  • Dibden will be closed on the 13th November please use Fawley inclosure which is located on the opposite side of the road heading towards Beaulieu. This car park may remain closed for up to 2 weeks after the work has taken place to allow the surface to consolidate. 
  • Longdown - closed 14th - 27th, please use Marchwood Inclosure as an alternative car park. Please do not obstruct gateways and verge park. Please be considerate of local residents.
  • Janesmoor Pond (leftside) - closed from 13th Nov. Will remain closed in anticipation of maintenance work being carried out, but will need to be rested for up to 2 weeks after that.  So, please allow up to 1 month for closure.
  • Bramble Hill - similar to above.  Please allow up to 1 month for closure.
  • Hatchet Pond – closed 4th December, please use Hawkhill car park.
  • Hatchet Moor – closed 4th December, please use Beaulieu Heath.
  • Moonhills - Closed unitl 5th December please use Darkwater, Blackwell Common or Fawley inclosure.
  • Longcross - Closed from 20th November
  • Telegraph Hill - Closed from 20th November

All  car parks listed above may remain closed for 2 weeks after works have completed to allow the surface to consolidate.
