Volunteer for the Forestry Commission to uncover archaeology which has been hidden for thousands of years within the forests.
Archaeological remains that have been hidden by trees in the depths of England’s forests untouched for centuries can now be reinstated as features on the landscape. Some projects have included uncovering a roman road, removing trees and vegetation from an iron age hill fort or perhaps discovering Jurassic fossils. A whole world of history awaits you.
