Woodland Workout Lincolnshire

Volunteer with the Forestry Commission to help manage and conserve your local woodlands while learning new skills, improving your health and wellbeing and making new friends. 

Woodland Workout in Lincolnshire

Sessions will be held at Osgodby Wood near Market Rasen on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, at Chambers Farm Wood on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and 2nd and 4th Wednesday's at Ostler's Plantation, Woodhall Spa.

  • 13th February               Chambers Farm Wood (TF 1408 7448, LN8 5QB)
  • 14TH February              Ostler’s Plantation (TF21596302, LN10 6YY)
  • 20th February               Osgodby Wood (TF 0936 9257)
  • 28th February               Ostler’s Plantation (TF 2159 6302, LN10 6YY)

They will run from 10am to 1pm.

Tasks can vary so please be prepared to be flexible but will include:

  • Fence removal, and footpath clearance at Osgodby Wood, and coppicing at Usselby Plantation.
  • Coppicing at Chambers Farm Wood.
  • Brashing of scot’s pine, footpath widening, and fence removal at Ostler’s Plantation.

Please wear clothes suitable for the task, sturdy footwear and bring waterproofs just in case. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided by you may want to bring a bottle of water with you.
