The Bunkhouse

The Bunkhouse is currently not avaiable for overnight bookings, however, the kitchen can be booked.

Dormitory in Biblins BunkhouseThe log cabin bunkhouse sleeps 35, including staff. There are dormitories at both ends of the main hall, each sleeping 14 in bunk beds. Upstairs in the attic there are 2 staff rooms, one sleeping 3, the other 4.

Main hall

The main hall is equipped with tables, benches and easy chairs and is used for eating and socialising. There is a wood burning stove with firewood available on site - bring your own saws/axes.

There is also a large storage area available in the basement for group equipment.

Cooking breakfast in Biblins BunkhouseThere is a large kitchen off the main hall. It is equipped with a 6 burner commercial gas cooker, gas grill, and gas larder fridge with small freezer.

Toilets and washbasins are located in a block adjacent to the cabin, and there are 2 showers in the basement.

The generator

As we have no mains electricity on site, hot water for showers and washing is provided by gas and is very reliable. Lighting is powered by use of generator. As well as environmental issues, the cost of diesal to run this is considerable.  You may switch the generator on on demand by means of a key switch in the main hall.  Please use sparingly to a maximum of four hours per day.  Longer use may be arranged and costs agreed with the warden.

What we provide

What you need to provide:

  • Sleeping bags and pillows
  • Crockery and cutlery
  • Cleaning materials
  • Toilet paper
