A group of runners enjoying an early morning jog along a forest road.There are two running trails here at High Lodge – the 321 Run Forest Run course and the 10km Wild Running Route.




Family walking on a woodland trailThere are four waymarked walks at High Lodge - the Nature trail (1.5km), the Pine trail (1.5km), the Fir trail (5km) which leads to the Beech trail (5km). A map showing the walks around High Lodge is available from the Information Point. 

There are walking trail diversions currently in place at High Lodge due to trail construction works.  There is a walking trail diversion map available to download.

 Practice your map reading skills and find your way around the permanent Orienteering course at High Lodge. There are three routes you  can take depending on your level of skill and fitness.


Family cyclingHigh Lodge offers four waymarked cycle routes - the family friendly Shepherd trail (green), the Poacher trail (blue) which is no longer waymarked from High Lodge, the more challenging Beater trail (blue) and Lime Burner trail (red).
