Regional Grants
Woodland Creation Grant
This year we have introduced extra funding to encourage woodland creation along the Northumberland and Durham Pennine Fringe and extended the range of funding on Ancient Woodland Sites.
An extra £1,000 is available for new broadleaved and conifer planting in recognition that woodlands contribute in so many ways to our quality of life and combat climate change.
We have maintained our funding of new Native Woodland in the National Parks and the Quality of Place areas with access with up to up to £3,800 per ha available towards initial planting and maintenance costs. To check priority areas you can access the Land Information Search by entering your grid reference and ticking the Quality of Place Priority Areas box on the right hand menu. Further informaiton on the Woodland Creation Grant and application forms can be found on our England Grant pages. Regional guidance and more forms can be found below.
