Children at a Forest School in Mortimer Forest.Last year's prices for FC led visits held for 2017/18

  • Choice of led and self-led visits with varying charges - you pick the option that suits your needs.
  • Forestry Commission (FC) staff-led programmes focusing on trees and using the National Pinetum, one of the best collection of conifers in the world.
  • An undercover seating area, bookable for visits led by FC staff and team building.
  • One of the largest play trails in the South East - 20 000 square metres of forest and wildlife themed equipment for child-centred, imaginative play. Why not combine a morning's learning with an afternoon at the play trail?

How can we help you?

We aim to support you throughout the process of visiting Bedgebury, from enquiry to evaluation. To do this we offer:

  • Advice: from the enquiry stage about the programmes we offer, opportunities open to you, booking a visit and matters relating to making a visit, e.g. risk assessment.
  • Pre-visits: ring 0300 067 4474 for a pre-visit to plan your trip, including complimentary vehicle admission and a chance to meet with FC staff, if available. (NB: Sorry, this is not available for DIY visits)
  • Travel bursaries: through the generosity of the Friends of Bedgebury Pinetum we are currently offering school travel bursaries to encourage more young people from socially and economically disadvantaged areas to visit Bedgebury. Please ring 0300 067 4474 for details.
