England's Woods & Forests
We are soon to launch our new website for the public forests in England. Take an early look at the beta site

Self led visits

With a little planning, and our 'Ranger in a box' packages,  a day of self-led activities can be a great success.

Almost every aspect of the National Curriculum can be incorporated into a visit, from biology and geography to drama and art. The woods are also a fantastic resource for less formalised learning, where skills such as team-work and problem solving can be developed.

We now have the 'Ranger in a box' packages to hire, which include 'Sensory Explorers', 'Minibeasts', 'Shelter Building' and 'Forest Arts and Crafts'.

Group leaders should always come out for a pre-visit as our forests vary in on-site facilities and car parking. We also ask that, for health and safety reasons, anybody wishing to bring a group of more than 20 people lets us know. Click here to contact us with details of your proposed visit.
