Cycling in Wendover Woods

We have a 8 mile long family cycle trail network with links in and out from the woodland access points. You need a good level of fitness as the routes take you around the woods, and from the top to the bottom with a number of climbs and descents, some parts are steep

The main trail starts and finishes from the centre of the woods, and there are also links to the trail from other access points. We have recently done  work to improve the boundary track on the west side of the woods and this is now open to cyclists. Please pick up a leaflet, view the map in the main car park or download a map from the information page.

We also have a Downhill and Cross country Mountain Bike site at neighbouring Aston Hill Bike Park. This requires a day pass or annual membership to ride. For further information, see website

Cycle stands are provided near the Cafe in the Woods.

Cycle Happy

For some activity sheets to complete whilst you are out on your cycle, these are available on-line and are free for anyone to download.  There is one each for the Mind, the Body and the Soul. Please click here to get activity sheets.
