Dene Park is ninety five hectares of predominantly mixed broadleaf and a small amount of conifer.
It has a large car park and a good sized picnic area.
There is a height barrier at the main entrance - approx 1.8 metres high.
An important site for moths, dormice and butterflies.
Circular walking route
Timber harvesting operations have now been completed in Dene Park and the car park is now open for use. There are several stacks of timber remaining to be collected, therefore please take care and obey all warning signs. Thank you for your understanding and assistance whilst we carried out harvesting operations in this wood. It is very much appreciated.

I love this wood, and have been walking here for over 30 years. But I still managed to get very lost yesterday...it needs some basic signage, pleaes

I agree with Darren that a few signs showing different distance circular routes would be a great addition

Love the walks, but would be so good if the different walks could be clearly signed so we don't get lost on route. Could attract more people that way.
