Trail description

Cyril Hart Arboretum, Forest of Dean

The Cyril Hart Arboretum at Speech House is a collection of over 200 trees some dating back to the early 1900s.

Many of the trees are specimens that were brought back by Ernest Wilson a Victorian plant collector.

The arboretum path is on a stoned path looping around the arboretum; it is an easy trail with no waymarkers. If you would like to extend your walk follow the grass path at the North Eastern end taking in many of the newly planted trees donated by the Royal Forest of Dean Rotary Club.
