Sitting at the foot of Grisedale Pike, Revelin Moss was the first planting of coniferous trees by the newly formed Forestry Commission took place here in 1919.
The Revelin Moss Trail and its surounding network of paths offers some of the easiest walking at Whinlatter and is ideal for the very young, the not so-young and those who find some of the other walks too strenuous. Following well-maintained gravel paths, the route offers spectacular views of Grisedale Pike to those with pushchairs and wheelchairs.

Road:- From Keswick: Take the A66 west towards Cockermouth. At Braithwaite turn west onto the B5292 for Lorton. Follow Visitor Centre Sign Posts., Bus:- Bus from Keswick., Train:- Nearest station is Penrith (25 miles east) on the west coast mainline.
