Trail description

There are twenty permanent orienteering posts scattered throughout this interesting and diverse forest. The map has suggestions of routes you may take depending on what type you are aiming for e.g easy, moderate or difficult. Or if none of them suit, you can just make up your own!
Maps are available from the Forest Office or the Cafe in the Woods.

Please contact the office on 0300 067 4160 if you would like further information. New maps are now available at the office, and the Café in the Woods.

What do other visitors say?

What is the distance of this course? Would it be suitable for a 7 year old?

Sandra, 12/Jun/2017

The course is set throughout the woods with 20 different stations. You can do as many or as few stations as you want. A number of suggested routes are on the back of the map, from easy to difficult. So you could do the easy route first and build up to more challenging routes.
