Heritage Craft Project - Book Binding

Family crafts

Book Binding

Community & environmental charity Groundwork South is offering an array of exciting heritage craft courses for children…and best of all, they are completely free to attend! This is all possible thanks to the generous support of Farnham Town Council.

These workshops will focus on heritage crafts that are especially at-risk or of local interest. Plus, we’ll be making the most of our spectacular forest surroundings to add a unique natural theme to all crafts.

In our book binding sessions, we’ll be using a simple long-stitch technique to sew together the pages of our small handmade books. This results in a beautiful book with decorative, visible stitches along the spine. We will then use inspiration from the forest to decorate our books, which can then be taken home and used however you wish, for anything from drawing pictures to writing stories.

Although free to attend, BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL!

PLEASE NOTE AFTERNOON SESSIONS AVAILABLE (11-15 YEARS OLDS) - ONLY 1 MORNING SESSION AVAILABLE STILL HAS SPACES 3/9/2018 FOR 5-10 YEARS OLD.
