We’re on the hunt for the best spring 2018 photo of Westonbirt Arboretum!

Spring is one of our favourite times of year - over just a few months the arboretum is transformed into a riot of breath-taking colour and the site buzzes with new life! To celebrate all that we love about this wonderful season, we’ve teamed up with our tree team sponsor STIHL , to find that special photograph that captures the best of spring at the National Arboretum.

Terms and Conditions

  1. All entries must be made between midnight on Friday 18 May 2018 and midnight on Thursday 31 May 2018
  2. The winner will be required to collect their prize from a local STIHL dealer
  3. Only amateur photographers are eligible for inclusion in this competition
  4. All entrants must be 18 years of age or over
  5. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the consent of anyone who is identifiable in that image, and that they are fully aware that the purpose of the photograph is for submission in the competition and that the image will be used on Westonbirt Arboretum’s and STIHL’s social media accounts and Westonbirt Arboretum’s website. Please note that images featuring anyone under the age of 18 may not be entered in the competition. Should the winning photograph feature people within the image, anyone featured in the photograph will be required to complete a photo release form before the winner can claim their prize.
  6. By entering the competition, participants agree that should they win their contact details will be passed to STIHL in order to facilitate the collection of the prize. Your details will not be used for any other purpose and once receipt of the prize has been confirmed your details will be removed from the Forestry Commission England and STIHL databases
  7. Entry is open to residents of GB including IOM or Channel Islands (excludes NI).
  8. Entries will be accepted by using the hashtag #WeHeartSpring sharing to the Westonbirt Arboretum or STIHL Facebook or Twitter pages
  9. Winners agree to take part in publicity around the competition, including winner announcements on STIHL and Westonbirt’s Facebook and Twitter channels, and Westonbirt’s website.
  10. All photo entries must be of Westonbirt Arboretum and have been taken in spring 2018
  11. Entrants submitting photographs must ensure that the image they are submitting is their own work, that they own the copyright for it and that they do not infringe the copyright or other rights of any third party or any laws.
  12. Entrants submitting an image will retain copyright and moral rights to their however, by entering, all entrants agree that their photos can be used on the Westonbirt Arboretum and STIHL websites and social media accounts in perpetuity.
  13. All competition entries will be reviewed by our panel of judges who will decide on the winners. The decision of the judges is final
  14. The winner will receive a Cordless Lawn Mower RMA 339 C with battery and charger worth £470 RRP
  15. We reserve the right to change the dates and terms of the competition
  16. There is no cash or other prize alternative.
  17. The winner will be contacted by 5pm on Tuesday 5 June 2018 via direct message on Twitter or Facebook. Winners will also be announced on STIHL and Westonbirt’s Facebook and Twitter channels.
  18. If a winner does not reply within three weeks of their being contacted, the Westonbirt Arboretum and STIHL reserve the right to withdraw their prize entitlement and select another winner
