Trail description

This lovely meandering routes takes you away from the busy Play Trail through the peace and quiet of the forest. The trail takes you to one of our staff's favourite spots, the Lookout.

FAMILY ENJOY A PICNIC BESIDE THE LOOKOUT PLATFORM IN MOORS VALLEY COUNTRY PARK. NEW FOREST FDOnce you reach the Lookout, you’re rewarded with a stunning view across the valley. It’s a wonderfully peaceful spot with Corsican pines trees all around soft bracken undergrowth that looks so fresh and green in the late spring and summer.

There, you will find picnic tables and benches to enjoy the view from and the timber-framed building even provides shelter if required.

Continue along the trail and keep your eyes open for roe deer. Roe deer are native in England and often seen in this part of the woodland.

Roe deer buckThe next section takes you down a hilly route along a dirt track and is not suitable for buggies. Follow the trail until you return to the wide-gravel track that takes you back towards the car park and you can enjoy a well-deserved refreshment at the café.
