Forest School Course

Become a Forest School leader and enable children and young people to make the most of the great outdoors!

Developed for people who work with children, Forest School is an inspirational process that offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.

The course consists of 5 days of training from 30th July to 3rd August and a further 5 days of training, practice and assessment from 18th to 22nd February from 9 to 5 each day. 

In between the two, participants are expected to compile a folder of evidence and to run their own Forest School sessions.

The course costs £600

There will also be a special Forest School first aid course taking place at Westonbirt on 31st August and 1st September, costing £150.00

  • Learning and Development at a Forest School Programme
  • Planning a Forest School Programme
  • Forest School Programmes and the Woodland Environment
  • Practical Skills for a Forest School Programme

 The qualification is accredited by Open College Network West Midlands
