Take your class on a virtual forest visit

Visit the forest virtually with your students by experiencing Google Expeditions app for the classroom

Google Expeditions app allows students to take virtual field trips from the classroom. The teacher acts as a 'guide' to lead the class of 'explorers' through collections of 360° images while identifying points of interest.

Make a dream a reality by sharing with your students the experience of a day in the life of a community forest ranger with Forestry Commission England.

Simply search 'Community Forest Ranger' in the app's search bar and find out what a day in the job is like for our Scott our ranger in Thames Chase Community Forest outside London.

Google Expeditions can be experienced by putting phones into a Google Cardboard viewer or using tablets in 2D “magic window” mode. It is primarily suitable for Key Stage 2 and 3 groups.

Download the app on iTunes App Store or Google Play Store to get started.
