Trail description

Whinlatter Mountain Bike Orienteering marker cyclingAn orienteering challenge which explores the forest by using a combination of forest roads and parts of the Quercus Mountain Bike Trail.
Expect longs climbs and riders must be competent mountain bike riders, with a good level of fitness and have some experience in riding mountain bike trails.

What do I have to do?
You have to navigate your way between control circles.

The control point is attached to a metal cable around a tree and has a "pinch puncher" to mark your score box.

The object is to score as many points as possible in a fixed time.  Decide on a time limit, for example 1 hour and see how many points you can score.  Alternately you can try and collect all of them and record your best time.

A mountain bike orienteering map can be purchased from the Visitor Centre or Cyclewise at a cost of £1.50 each.
