Experience Haldon with our mid-week discounts!

A visit to Haldon is a great way to enjoy being in the outdoors, getting some gentle or not so gentle exercise, catching up with friends over a coffee or trying something completely different.

To help you enjoy the forest even more, we’ve designed a range of discounts especially for people over 55 who might want to experience Haldon when it’s a bit quieter!

Improving facilities for older people

Age UK Devon has received funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development to work in partnership with us at Haldon Forest Park to develop a range of facilities for older visitors.

New facilities will include:
• Shorter, fully accessible walking trails
• Nature Hide
• Viewing platforms
• More seating
• Interpretation
• Additional Tramper mobility scooters
• Tent structure providing space for activities such as yoga

All new features should be in place by 2019.

Family cycling on a forest trailFinding things to do at Haldon won’t be difficult! We have a fantastic array of walking and cycling trails to suit all abilities, and if you don’t have a bike, head over to the cycle hire centre, where our friendly staff will be on hand help you get out on two wheels!

Haldon is a great place to bird watch, especially from the stunning bird of prey viewpoint.

Other fun ways to explore the forest

Family walking on the Play Trail, Haldon Forest Park.Have a go riding a Segway around the trails, or if you're feeling particularly adventurous, try swinging through the trees on Go Ape! Nordic walking sessions and adult outdoor classes, such as spoon carving are also available to help you stay fit and active.

And open every day is the lovely Ridge Café, where people can enjoy tasty snacks and meals or just a cuppa after exploring the forest.

Parking charges apply, but regular visitors can buy a Discovery Pass for the forest for only £35 which gives free parking for a year as well as a range of other benefits.
