Bedgebury autumn guided walk
Join us one of a series of bookable led walks where a member of the Bedgebury team will take you on a guided walk around the route of autumn seasonal trail. We will introduce you to some of the pinetum’s special trees and show you that there’s more to them than meets the eye, on this gentle introduction which is aimed at non-specialist adults.
Bird Ringing Talk and Walk
Bird enthusiast and local bird ringer, Christine George, will give an illustrated presentation on bird ringing followed by a guided walk through Bedgebury Pinetum at roosting time.
Dawn Photography with David Jenner
An exclusive opportunity to join award-winning photographer, David Jenner, as he leads a small group into the Pinetum to take photographs during the ‘golden hour’ of the morning.
Fungi Walk with Bryan Bullen
Join Bryan Bullen of the Kent Wildlife Trust as he leads an insightful and informative walk through the Pinetum to discover and identify the different fungi that grow across the site.
Hands-on cones - family drop-in activity
Hands-on cones - family drop-in activity. Come and look at some of our giant cones collected from all around the world.
Hunt the hidden boxes family drop-in activity
Drop in to the Education Room at the Visitor Centre, then follow our seasonal trail around the Pinetum and hunt out all the hidden boxes along the way.
Pinetum Bat Walk
Bedgebury is home to six different bat species and warm summer evenings are the best time to see them. Armed with bat detectors, our bat specialists will lead bat walks in the Pinetum to watch these wonderful creatures as the sun goes down.
Pinetum Nursery Tour
Find out what happens to seeds once they are collected and brought back from exotic locations, on this exclusive opportunity to visit Bedgebury’s nursery, where some of the world’s rarest trees have been propagated and nurtured over the years.
Smartphone Photography
Join professional photographer Lisa Hills who will lead a photographic walk in the Pinetum and show you how to make the most of the camera and editing features on your phone.
