GoApe Adventures

Offering Tree Top Adventure in a true mountain forest, with 5 sections and reaching 14 metres at it's highest point. Forest Segways are now also available at Whinlatter and a great way to explore the forest. 

Cyclewise Bike Hire and Shop

Standard & premium Cube & Mondraker bikes are available for hire for half or full days. Group hire bookings are also offer. A wide variety of courses are also available for those wanting to improve their skills.

Siskins Cafe

Siskins Café offers a fabulous range of freshly prepared home cooked food. There's a huge variety of sandwiches and toasted paninis, jacket potatoes and soups. Dogs welcome.


Whinlatter WildPlay trail is a unique play trail for children, with 9 different play zones to explore through the trees. You can practice your engineering skills and draw water from the stream with an Archimedes screw or use the gravel mover to shift gravel around the pit.


Map reading challenges for children, families, beginners and experts.
We have 4 Orienteering courses: Star 0.6km, Line 1.4km, Course A 2.4km and Course B 3.5km.  Orienteering Maps are available to purchase from the Visitor Centre.
