From Keswick: Take the A66 west towards Cockermouth. At Braithwaite turn west onto the B5292 for Lorton. Follow Visitor Centre Sign Posts.

» Accessibility:

We would like everyone to enjoy Whinlatter and pride ourselves on being a site that has excellent facilities and access. For help planning your visit please go to our access page.

» Parking:

Main Car Park: is on a 'Pay on exit' system.
The are 2 pay stations situated in the main car park and 1 by the Visitor Centre. Charges: Up to 20 mins - Free, 1st Hour - £2
Additional time - 45p per 20 mins, All Day - £8.00.
The machines take coins (no change given), credit cards or you have 48hrs to pay online at Park with Ease

» Toilets:

Ladies, gents, disabled toilets and baby changing facilities are all located in the passage at the back of the Visitor Centre.

» Picnic Areas:

Please use the decking area at the end of the Visitor Centre building.
Recycling bins are located on the decking and at the front and rear vof the visitor centre.

BBQ's - Please only use BBQ's at picnic benches with the slate tiles and take away with you after use. These are located at the following outlying car parks: Revelin Moss & Noble Knott.
