Bringing new audiences to Westonbirt

Over the past four years, the community team has been working hard to enable new audiences to experience the wonders of Westonbirt Arboretum. But there's still more to do!

Thanks to Heritage Lottery Funding (HLF), over the past four years we've been able to work with 4930 participants and 144 groups and organisations of young people and adults from hard to reach audiences. Participants have been able to connect with trees through a diverse programme of onsite and outreach activities.

Though the HLF project is coming to an end in December 2017, community engagement programmes are a vital part of Westonbirt Arboretum's offer. Therefore, from Easter 2018 we will be launching an exciting range of community focused activities, based around supporting mental health and well being.

This is thanks to funding from the Forestry Commission and the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum.

In order to help us plan for this next stage of the community programme, please be aware that there willbe a temporary halt on delivery of our led community offer until Easter 2018.
