We took our grandson who really enjoys being outdoors and walking in the countryside. We walked the blue trail from the visitor centre but some vandals had knocked post 7 down and part of the walk was missed but it was a great day out rambling around the chase plus a visit to the military cemeteries.

We're glad you enjoyed your visit to Cannock Chase Forest! The post you mention is on Staffordshire County Council land so we'll let them know so they can carry out the necessary works.

After phoning the park to see if the gruffalo spotter trial was on and being told it was we were very disappointed to find it was no longer there and hadn't been since November surely the staff should if known this? we had wasted a hour drive and 18 in parking. It was my sons birthday and we had a very upset boy. Ticket machines did not work and had to wait half hour for them to be fixed. Toilets where disgusting and baby changing facilities even worse. Very unhappy with the overall visit

Jenna, 18/Feb/2018

We are really sorry to hear about your experience. We have since doubled checked with our call centre to clearly highlight that the interactive Gruffalo Spotting trail is no longer in place. I believe a member of staff spoke to you at the time and offered you a refund on your parking. From time to time our machines do break, though half an hour seems a very long time, we will investigate what happen on this occasion. We try to ensure our toilets are checked and cleaned on a regular basis and we are sorry that on this occasion facilities were not up to standard. We will further investigate these failings.
