Tidenham Chase, Forest of Dean

Tidenham Chase is managed in partnership with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust as a heathland restoration project.

The small carpark also allows access to Offa's Dyke and the Devil's pulpit, a viewpoint overlooking Tintern Abbey.

Good car park offering easy well sign posted access to the Devils Pulpit over some beautiful fields and through some great forest.

What are the highland cattle doing, are they part of the program to turn it back to Heath. We didn't,t see any Dartmoor ponies?

Yes, this area is grazed by ponies and by highland cattle to keep young birch and scrub at bay and try to recreate heath.
