Trail description

A choice of two trails which both take in Force Falls. In the last century, water from the falls was harnessed to power the local bobbin industry, but now it is free to tumble over the rocks on its way to the coast.

The climb to High Bowkerstead is rewarded with fine views of the village of Satterthwaite, the Grizedale Valley and surrounding fell tops. Thereafter the descent from Brock Crags leads into the beautiful and quiet valley of Dale Park.

Last Rays of an English Rose a sculpture by Keir Smith. GrizedaleTake a look at the Keir Smith sculpture, 'Last rays of an English Rose'.
