National Tree Week: Join us for a walk in Grizedale Forest

BEECH TREES. AUTUMN. FOREST OF DEAN. FOREST OF DEAN FDTo mark the start of National Tree week, we're going to take a wander through the Forestry Commission’s Grizedale Forest and if you'd like to join us, read on. We'll be walking through broadleaf, conifer and open areas and passing artworks from the forest sculpture collection along the way including, of course, treefold:centre. The walk will take us up to Caron Crag, which offers superb 360-degree views over the Lakeland Fells, and back down through towering trees, where one of the UK Tree Poles will be installed: this one will mark the 'environment' principle enshrined in the Tree Charter.

The three-hour walk will include poetic reflections on trees (we'd love you to bring your own favourite poems to share)
