The 'Route to health' walk - Cannock Chase

The Ladyhill Trail is an easy, mostly flat circular 1 mile Trail which is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The trail includes the popular Fairy Trees, Gruffalo Sculpture, shelter building plus an open space for play, games, BBQ’s and picnics. Follow this trail to access our Dog Activity Challenge.

Trail maps are available from Birches Valley Cafe, Go Ape and Swinnerton Cycles or they can be downloaded here - Cannock Chase Forest Trail Map.

This is a multi-use trail so please be aware of other users on this trail including cyclists, walkers, horse riders and forest vehicles.

Good luck finding the Ladyhill Trail. Despite a reference to it at the start of the forest trail, there is no further information and no signposting. On the map board is says the trail is marked in light blue. it isn't. The whole design of this visitor centre is an exercise in complete confusion and half-bakedness. Oh, and if you want people to pay for parking, make sure your machines take plastic.

Thank you for your feedback and sorry you had trouble finding the start of the trail, we are reviewing and upgrading our signage on site. Card payments can be made on some of our Car Park Machines.
