What do other visitors say?

My daughter would like to bring some friends to Wendover woods in February for her birthday to have a ramble in the woods and to have a bbq. How do I go about booking a BBQ area?

Alison Rust, 13/Jan/2016

If you would like to give our office a call on 0300 067 4160, our admin lady will be happy to help and check dates for you. Further information can be found at and select barbecues from the links on the left hand side.

Forestry Commission Response

Hello, Do you have a Gruffalo sculpture at Wendover woods?

Jennifer , 13/Dec/2015

Yes, we do have a Gruffalo Sculpture. It's on our view point, at the end of the Hilltop Trail, not far from the Cafe.

Forestry Commission Response

I have just found out about the Forestry Comission that there will no longer be free parking for the disabled from 1st December. I am disabled and have been using the woods for many years. I think it is disgusting that you are doing this to disabled people the wood's are packed on a regular basis with paying customers why do this to the people who need this. My dog gets to have a long run here but I can sit regularly and rest this is exercise for me that is needed. THis is just money grabbing as I know there is plenty going on there that you get money for. As I can't work and earn like normal paying customer how do you expect us to afford parking charges.
